Custom Metal Roof Rack Fabrication
This named photo sequence shows one of the clearest start-to-finish custom-fabrication stories in the ASB library: a made-to-fit steel rack built around the vehicle, intended use, mounting points, clearance, and finish.
What the photos show
Visible scope and planning boundaries
Visible in this collection
- Welded perimeter frame, crossmembers, and support layout
- Vehicle fit-up, mounting points, clearances, and rack proportions
- Fabrication stages, finish, and completed installation
Plan before fabrication
- Vehicle dimensions, attachment points, roof or body limits, doors, lights, antennas, and the intended cargo need to be documented first.
- Allowable loads and attachment requirements must come from the vehicle owner, manufacturer information, or other responsible source; the photo sequence does not establish a rating.
- Finish, wind noise, tie-down points, removable components, and future service access should be decided before final fabrication.
